Oil & Gas Stakeholders Discuss ‘Finding The Funds’ At The Nigeria Assembly Conference

Stakeholders in the global oil and gas industry are gathered for the Nigeria Assembly conference holding from 7th -8th November, 2017 at Eko Hotels & Suite Lagos, Nigeria.

The Nigeria Assembly organised by the Oil and Gas Council, an organisation with interest in bridging business gaps that exist within the sector, brings international financiers and investors to Nigeria to meet as well as discuss how to overcome funding challenges currently facing the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

Whilst primarily focused on upstream operations, conversations at the Nigeria Assembly 2017 will also consider the growth of gas to ultimately power Nigeria. Joining the list of stakeholders and speaking faculty will be representatives from international oil companies (IOCs), mid and larger corporations including indigenous small independent oil and gas companies.

Holding on day 2 of the Nigeria Assembly is a panel session with the topic – Finding The Funding: What alternatives are Junior Producers, Independents and Indigenous oil and gas companies using to raise funding? Discussants will include; Tor Langoy – Managing Partner, BD Globe Capital, Chief Sastry Karra – CEO, Hardy Oil & Gas, Sonnie Ayere – Chairman/CEO, Dunn Loren Merrifield Group, Gbolahan Fasade – Head, Investment Banking, CitiBank and Ms. Ifunanya Nwokedi – Analyst, United States Government Accountability Office will be moderating the panel.

Among issues and related key questions this panel will sought to engage are; how can junior producers utilise capital markets to raise funding as alternative financing? How can junior producers unlock the funding and capital that traders provide as well as collaboration with other key stakeholders to give investors the confidence to invest within the oil and gas sector.

Key success stories and case studies of junior producers securing international financing through non-traditional methods will be highlighted during various sessions. Now in its 3rd year, the Nigeria Assembly remains a vital oil & gas event for thought leadership market insight and  high-end C-level networking with over 200 senior executives in attendance.
